The Hill Valley Public Works Department is committed to enhancing the quality of life for our residents by efficiently managing, maintaining, and improving the public infrastructure and services essential to the well-being of our community. Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Maintenance:
- Repair and maintenance of roads, bridges, sidewalks, and other public transportation systems.
- Management of stormwater drainage systems to prevent flooding and ensure environmental protection.
Facility Management:
- Maintenance and operation of municipal buildings, including community centers, public libraries, and administrative offices.
- Oversight of parks and recreational facilities to provide safe and enjoyable spaces for residents.
Solid Waste Management:
- Collection and disposal of residential and commercial solid waste.
- Implementation and promotion of recycling and sustainability initiatives.
Engineering and Capital Projects:
- Planning and design of public infrastructure projects.
- Oversight and management of capital improvement projects to enhance the community's infrastructure.
Fleet Services:
- Maintenance and repair of municipal vehicles and equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
Emergency Response:
- Coordination of emergency response efforts related to natural disasters, severe weather events, and other emergencies affecting public infrastructure.
