Human Resources
Human Resources is dedicated to meeting the needs of the City's employees in a manner that is collaborative, results-oriented, and customer-focused. Human Resources values the diversity of its 1700 employees and strategically partners with City leadership to provide quality, innovative, and customer-driven human resources programs and services to support City goals. The department is responsible for the formulation and administration of HR policies; recruitment, referral, and selection of applicants to fill City jobs; administration of the position classification and pay plan; and administration of employee benefits, health and wellness, employee relations, and equal employment opportunity (EEO) programs.
The Department of Human Resources strives to serve as the hub of human resources expertise for Hill Valley by providing integrated, professional human resources services and programs, allowing the City's leadership to focus on the day-to-day priorities associated with meeting the needs of Hill Valley residents.
Hill Valley policies establish guidelines to maintain a drug- and alcohol-free workplace. Such policies are intended to comply with all applicable federal regulations and Hill Valley's insurance requirements governing workplace anti-drug and alcohol programs. Hill Valley employees shall be subject to the provisions of the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988.
